Karen Acres was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. Having travelled the world extensively, she immediately felt a strong connection to China while on her Asian visit. Her love of children, and a strong desire to be a mother, took her back to Yongzhou, China to adopt 12 month old Kaylee. Karen brought her home in April 2001. Today, Kaylee is a healthy, happy child who has brought joy to all who have met her.
